Visitors’ Centre of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park
The Visitors’ Centre of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park is at San Vigilio di Marebbe, in Val Badia. The access point and information office is on the ground floor, communicating with the other floors. Along the connecting ramps, display windows and panels provide visitors with information on the formation of the Dolomites, on fossils, bee-keeping and the Conturines bear.
Opening times: Tuesday - Saturday from 9.30 to 12.30 (free admittance)
Ladin Museum of Ciastel de Tor at San Martino in Badia
The castle of Ciastel de Tor with its characteristic tower represents the history of over 30,000 Ladin inhabitants of the Dolomite valleys, whose common identity is marked by two essential elements: their language, rooted in Vulgar Latin, and the extraordinary mountain landscape of the Dolomites. The museum, opened in 2001, presents information on the history, language, culture, legends, archaeology, geology, tourism and craftsman ship in the Ladin valleys of the Dolomites. The picture is completed with special exhibitions concerning the Ladin world.
Opening times: Tuesday - Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00 (July and August open every day)
